About Us
There is a well-kept secret in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX electronic dance music scene. EVRAFTR, the dynamic duo with the crazy work ethic, has been quietly coming up in the local EDM scene and have managed to craft some extremely catchy music that keeps their loyal fans coming back for more. EVRAFTR is worth your ear buds’ time.
Tracy Hazelton was born in 1987 in Fort Worth, Texas. At 16, he was exposed to the underground house scene through small parties and local rave events. Shortly thereafter, Tracy began his early DJ career spinning trance and electro house tracks under the alias, Brightcell. He quickly became a fixture in the local electronic music scene; playing venues throughout TX and OK, and working his way into the burgeoning EDM festival scene. Tracy has supported large, mainstream artists including Quintino, Audien, The Chainsmokers, and more.
Chris Haught was born 1987 in the city of Longview, Texas. Adopted at an early age, Chris spent most of his childhood in Denton, TX and credits Denton as his hometown. He began taking piano lessons at 5 years old and continued well into his teenage years. Chris sang in his high school choir and played accompaniment piano for his classmates during competition. Around the same time, he acquired his first synthesizer keyboard and began experimenting with sound design and song structure. While in college at The University of North Texas, Chris discovered electronic dance music and was introduced to DAW production. He produced tracks under his own name and worked with local artists on sound engineering and design. After meeting Tracy in 2015, Chris began working exclusively on electronic dance music production.
In 2016, Tracy and Chris met online through a collaboration on LAMI-PALO, an original song developed by Tracy. Following the track’s release in 2016, they joined forces under the name, EVRAFTR. The duo quickly became noticed for their signature progressive and melodic sound and, in December 2016, had their first original production picked up by GrayGoo Records. Following the release of their first single, EVRAFTR capitalized on opportunities to play at multiple EDM festivals throughout the Southwest. Today, EVRAFTR continues to focus on their music, while exploring new channels to further share their sound. Supporting up and coming local producers with their mentorship and existing channels, EVRAFTR extends their influence and experience to help develop the next generation of EDM
